Advanced Restorative Care ![]() ![]() To ensure success in our procedures, we take the necessary time to thoroughly evaluate your present dental condition. We use the appropriate diagnostic tools, such as digital X-rays, models, photographs, visual examination, full periodontal exam, cancer screening, and esthetic evaluations. Our goal is give our patients of all ages--children, teenagers, adults, and seniors--the necessary information and education so that they may enjoy a beautiful, healthy smile for many years to come. Crowns All porcelain crowns maintain a translucency that makes them hard to distinguish from natural teeth. Without the metal, the problem of a dark line at the edge of the gums is eliminated. The new technological breakthrough in the cements and stronger porcelain materials make it possible to create longer lasting crowns. Endodontic Treatment We perform root canals to prevent tooth extraction when the inner soft tissue of a tooth becomes damaged, infected, or inflamed. Once we remove the damaged tissue, we carefully fill the canal, seal it and crown it to protect the tooth and restore its functionality. Signs you may need endodontic treatment include pain, prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold, tenderness to touch and chewing, and discoloration of the tooth. Oral Surgery The routine removal of teeth may be performed by our doctors at St. Paul Dental Center. We are available to handle all complex extractions, including the removal of wisdom teeth. The majority of these procedures can be managed in the dental office, however, on occasion, some patients may need a hospital setting to complete the procedure. Dentures and Partial Dentures Dentures can help take the place of missing natural teeth. Dentures allow patients to chew and speak more easily while improving their appearance and often boosting self-confidence. Full dentures are used when all of a patient's teeth need to be replaced. Partial dentures are used when only a few teeth are missing. In either case, dentures can help you look and feel your best. Preventive Care For your continued health and convenience, we have an individualized prevention recall program. Early detection is the key to avoiding costly and painful dental treatment. Prevention begins with the control of plaque and calculus, the main cause of decay and periodontal disease. In fact, the major cause of tooth loss in adults is periodontal disease, which is known as the silent killer of teeth because most patients feel no symptoms until it's too late. With regular dental visits, we can treat gum disease at an early stage, before it gets out of hand. |
