Dr. Patricia Kingston, DDS, MS Creating Smiles in the Heart of St. Paul ![]() As a periodontist, Dr. Kingston is available to treat all forms of periodontal disease, as well as for examination, consultation, treatment planning, oral hygiene instruction, and smoking cessation. She performs root planing and antibiotic placement, biopsies, and extraction of periodontally involved teeth. Dr. Kingston can place implants, perform osseous surgery, sinus augmentation, and regeneration procedures for osseous defects, as well as crown-lengthening procedures, and connective tissue grafts. Education Dr. Kingston has a Bachelor's of Arts degree in biology from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, as well as a certificate in medical technology from St. Joseph Hospital School of Medical Technology. She earned her DDS degree and her Master of Science in Periodontology from the University of Minnesota. She was on the associate faculty at the University of Minnesota teaching oral anatomy, occlusion, operative dentistry and undergraduate periodontology. She was a solo practitioner as a general dentist in St. Paul and is now a visiting specialist in periodontal and general dental offices. Continuing Education Dr. Kingston is a graduate of the Panke Institute in Florida and has earned her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a member of several dental organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, Minnesota Association of Periodontists, of which she was president for four years, the American Dental Association, the St. Paul District Speakers' Bureau, the MN Academy of Gnathological Research, the Academy of General Dentistry, Delta Dental of Minnesota Board Member, and a volunteer at the MA Dental Clinic in Fergus Falls. Personal Dr. Kingston lives in Fergus Falls with her husband Tom and their large dog Diva. She likes to garden in her large perennial gardens. She bikes several times a week with her husband on their tandem bicycle. Since 1987, she has been an amateur competitive ballroom dancer, winning a national title in American Smooth style, as well as Wisconsin and Minnesota titles. She enjoys the Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Mambo, Swing, Jive, and Paso Doble. Her other hobbies include sailing, traveling, reading, cooking-gourmet club, sewing and spending time with her 13 nieces and nephews, her sisters and brothers, and her friends. |
